Players (4/12) — tap a name to rename

A free, family-friendly spin the bottle game you can play on one phone, tablet or laptop. Put everyone's name around the bottle, tap Spin, and whoever it points at takes a Truth, a Dare-lite or a Safe Pass — or switch to Challenges mode and let the bottle pick the challenge itself.

How to play spin the bottle online

    1. Add your players. Type 2 to 12 names in the list under the bottle. Tap a name on the circle to rename it, use + Add player for more, or × to remove someone. Names are saved on your device for next time.
    2. Pick a mode. Players mode puts your names around the bottle. Challenges mode fills the circle with challenge wedges like Truth, Dare-lite, Group Challenge and Safe Pass — edit any wedge to write your own.
    3. Choose a preset. Party is the default, Family is extra gentle for kids, and Soft 18+ is an optional grown-up deck behind an age check.
    4. Spin. Tap SPIN or tap the bottle itself. It whirls, slows down, wobbles to a stop and the winning name lights up with confetti.
    5. Do the challenge. In Players mode the chosen player taps Truth, Dare-lite or Safe Pass to get a prompt. In Challenges mode the prompt appears straight away. Then pass the phone and spin again — the bottle never picks the same spot twice in a row.

Want sound? Tap the speaker button for ticking and a landing chime (it's off by default). The spin counter and recent history show who has had a turn, so nobody gets skipped.

    Presets explained

    • Party (default): playful truths like "What's the weirdest thing you've ever Googled?", silly Dare-lites such as a runway walk or a nature-documentary narration, group challenges and a Hot Seat wedge. Fun for teens and mixed groups.
    • Family: clean, kid-safe prompts — animal impressions, tongue twisters, "what job did you want when you were five?" and compliments. Great for family game night and classrooms.
    • Soft 18+: grown-up life questions about work, money and hot takes, plus a Sip wedge (any drink counts, water too). Nothing explicit, and it only unlocks after you confirm you're 18 or older.

Every prompt is shuffled, so you won't see repeats until a deck runs out. Dare-lites are quick and safe: nothing that needs leaving the room, spending money or touching anyone else.

Party ideas for spin the bottle

    Sleepovers

Sit in a circle on the floor, put the phone in the middle and use the Family or Party preset. Add a custom wedge like "Tell a spooky story" or "Do your best dance move" so the bottle feels made for your group.

    Birthday parties

Put the birthday kid in slot one and use Challenges mode with wedges such as "Sing to the birthday star", "Act It Out" and "Compliment". It's an easy no-prep game between cake and presents.

    Icebreakers for groups and classrooms

For a new team, club or class, use Players mode and stick to Truths: the person the bottle picks answers a light question so everyone learns something new. Put it on a big screen and let the class shout the countdown while it spins.

    Family game night

Mix ages by giving younger players a Safe Pass anytime they want one. Use Group Challenge wedges so everyone gets to play, even when the bottle points at someone else.

Prefer a wheel? Try Truth or Dare

If your group wants classic truth-or-dare questions with a spinning wheel instead of a bottle, play our Truth or Dare wheel. You can also build any custom picker on the Pick The Wheel spinner.
