Never Have I Ever is the confession game where one simple prompt gets the whole group talking. This free online version puts the prompt on one shared screen, lets every player tap I Have or Never, and keeps score for you, with the classic 10-finger countdown or simple points. No app and no signup: it works on any phone, tablet or laptop.

How to Play Never Have I Ever Online

  1. Add your players: type everyone’s names (up to 12), or just play as Player 1, 2 and 3.
  2. Pick a scoring mode: 10-finger countdown or points (see below).
  3. Read the prompt out loud, starting with “Never have I ever…”.
  4. Everyone answers honestly: tap I Have if you’ve done it, or Never if you haven’t. Tapped the wrong one? Tap again to change it.
  5. Tap Next prompt to lock in the round. Skip moves on without scoring. Want a story? Ask anyone who tapped I Have to explain.

Fingers vs Points

10-finger countdown is the classic way to play: everyone starts with ten fingers up, and every I Have puts one finger down. When you hit zero you’re out, and the last player with fingers still up wins. Points mode flips it: everyone starts at 0 and each I Have adds a point, so nobody gets knocked out. Play as many rounds as you like, then see who has done the most (or crown the lowest score “most innocent”).

Play It as a Card Game (Offline)

No screen? Turn Never Have I Ever into a card game. Write prompts on index cards (or copy your favorites from this page), shuffle them face down, and take turns drawing one and reading it aloud. Keep score with fingers, coins or paper clips, and swap in your own cards to make an inside-joke deck for road trips, sleepovers and camping.

Tips for a Great Game

Start on Family or Funny to warm the group up, then switch decks as people relax. Keep it kind: the point is to share funny stories, not to embarrass anyone, so anyone can pass on a prompt. For classrooms and mixed ages, stick to Family, Teens / School-Safe or Gen Alpha. Sip mode is optional and off by default. If adults turn it on, anyone who taps I Have takes a small sip of whatever they’re drinking, and water or soda works just as well.
